- Hindu deity images are readable through **attributes and gestures (mudras)**. For Shiva Nataraja, memorize the meaning of each element — drum, fire, abhaya mudra, trampled dwarf, ring of flames, lifted foot. Decoding iconography, not just describing pose, is what earns full credit on this content area.
