AP German Language & Culture

German language and culture through authentic sources spanning the German-speaking world.

Covers part of this exam

How this exam works. Section I is interpretive — multiple choice on reading and listening. Section II is performance: an email reply, an argumentative essay, a simulated conversation and a cultural comparison, the last two spoken and recorded.

What we help with

The interpretive half. High-frequency thematic vocabulary and the grammar you need to read a text quickly are exactly what our decks carry, and that is roughly half the exam.

What we do not

The spoken half. Nothing you can do with a flashcard improves a 20-second recorded response to a conversation prompt, and no rubric row for those tasks is about vocabulary recall.

What to do instead. Record yourself answering conversation prompts against a timer and listen back — that is the only practice that transfers. Your teacher or a language partner is worth more here than any app.
